Visiting this website
This website is hosted by DigitalOcean, LLC (New York, USA) and delivered through the network of Cloudflare, Inc. (San Francisco, USA). To deliver the pages and protect them against attacks, these providers process the technical data your browser sends: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and operating system. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is a secure website that works.
Cookies and analytics
We set no cookies ourselves and use no analytics or tracking tools. Fonts and images are embedded in the page, so nothing is loaded from third parties. The hosting network may set one technically necessary cookie (__cf_bm), which tells people apart from automated traffic and expires after 30 minutes. The legal basis is § 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Contacting us
The contact form opens your own e-mail program, and we receive only what you send us: usually your name, e-mail address and message, and any specifications you attach. We use this to answer your enquiry and, where it leads to one, to prepare a contract. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We keep the data as long as the enquiry needs it, and beyond that only where commercial or tax law requires us to (generally seven years). Specifications are treated as confidential.
Links to LinkedIn
The LinkedIn profiles are plain links. No data goes to LinkedIn unless you click one; LinkedIn's own privacy policy then applies.
Transfers to the USA
DigitalOcean and Cloudflare are based in the USA. Transfers to them rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Articles 15 to 21 GDPR). Write to [email protected] to use them. You can also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde) in Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at.
